Was Your Pension Mis-Sold?
Many people were advised by financial advisors, responded to an advertisement or received an unsolicited call suggesting that they invest in a personal pension. Often these people offered guaranteed high returns on the investment. Usually these involved a minimum investment in excess of £10,000. Unfortunately a lot of these people were not regulated to sell investments and simply acted for an intermediary who arranged the pension.
Several of these schemes contained high risk investments, such as foreign property, agricultural schemes, forestry, storage pods, car parking spaces and many more. The investments were usually sold as a platform that could be set up with minimal effort. Often these came with glossy brochures and looked completely plausible.
Does That Sound Like You?
If you were sold a pension that has any of these investments then it is likely that you will have a claim. Many of these schemes paid initial returns and then stopped making payments after a year or two, usually after a further investment is made by the investor. Most people who conducted the sale were not registered by the Financial Services Authority/Financial Conduct Authority. This makes a claim difficult to pursue however not impossible. Contact PFS Redress today and we can let you know if you have a claim. If we’re able to pursue your claim, we will do so on a no win, no fee basis.
